Hi Kris,

I have worked with few CAD system integrations with IFS and it differs depending on the system. Unfortunately I have not worked with Solid Works before.

IFS has an integration platform called IFS Connect and it support standard integration methods.

Depending on your CAD system (Solid Works), you have to design a connector. And this has to be done by someone who has technical expertise on IFS Connect.

You can contact IFS itself or any IFS partner in your area.

Hope this helps at least a little...

Good luck!

I am working on a ERP project right now where we are installing a connector between SolidWorks PDM and IFS.  We selected the Agni Link product from Elmo Solutions and thus far are pleased with the results. Still early in the implementation of the ERP, but all is good with this part of the project.  See for more info on this project.  Less costly and risky choosing a product already engineered to do the job, than recreating the building one ourselves.

Good luck!

Hi Victor,

Agni Link seems to be the preferred ERP/SW integrator solution according to the SolidWorks website. Are you able to provide any information on licensing costs? Thanks.
