You should use an IAL in this case. IAL are views which you can create ad-hoc.

Quick report is an SQL statement.

You can create an IAL object (using IAL Object Developer in Solution Manager) for that specific SQL statement from quick report. Then this IAL object can be used as the data source for the next QR.

Please note that IAL objects will be created in a separate schema. The default is usually ifsinfo. Please check with your admin for this value.

Ex: If IAL is inventory_part_cost_data, you can access this as ifsinfo.inventory_part_cost_data and use this for the quick report.

You can find more details on IALs in IFS Tech Docs under IFS Administration and Configuration Guide / Reporting / Information Access Layer

Is this an SQL quick report, or Crystal?

If it's Crystal, you need an IAL. If it's an SQL quick report then simply create a new Quick Report with the new SQL.

Anyway, first script your SQL to retrieve the desired data. You can use the same script to create a new SQL Quick Report or to create an IAL to be used via Crystal Quick Reports.
